Layering a virtually transparent network management solution onto the Core Package, the Extended Package brings wireless capabilities (802.11a/b/g) and eLearning modules to the Hospira MedNet system. In addition, the Extended Package offers interoperability with BPOC systems to support 5-Rights Verification of IV infusions and eMAR documentation.

Hospira MedNet Extended Package Application Groups

The Extended Package builds on the application groups in the Core Package, adding components to Hospira Mednet Connect™ and Hospira MedNet Trainer™ and adding the powerful integration capabilities of the Hospira MedNet Integrator™ application group. This solution provides interoperability and a variety of interfaces to clinical information systems, including, but not limited to, pharmacy information systems and BPOC systems.

Hospira MedNet Meds

  • CCA Setup: To add/edit/delete settings for Clinical Care Areas
  • Medication List Manager: To import medication lists
  • Drug Library Manager: To build drug libraries, assign custom names, manage rule sets and assign to CCAs
  • Master Infuser Settings: To set hospital-specific parameters to all infusers
